Now that the presidential race has narrowed to the two final candidates, more attention is turning to state and local elections. According to LA Politics, the Louisiana Federal races are crammed with candidates. There are 24 candidates who have qualified for the primary election to fill the US Senate seat to replace David Vitter.
While all eyes are on the presidential primaries right now, it won’t be long before the political drums start beating again in Louisiana. This fall the country will elect a new President and the state will also elect a new US Senator to replace David Vitter. And because we march to our own drum in Louisiana, our primary election for the US Senate seat will coincide with the Presidential General Election on Tuesday, November 8th but the Louisiana elections for US Senate runoff will take place on Saturday, December 10th. That means the elections overlap with the holiday shopping season this year. If you are a local business owner and the holiday season means big business, you need to start planning your local advertising now.
